Special Message of Thanks to Our Competitive Teams.

Thanks!! ... and Congratulations on a
Great 2008 Season.

Congratulations to all the Clarkson Comets Rep Teams !!

We've implemented a lot of changes over the past year in our club that have impacted, and improved, our Rep Teams. These changes were needed as our club continues to move in a new direction which will deliver to our Rep Teams (and individually, each player) a very unique programme - a holistic approach to soccer training - and as a result we should see substantially better results. For those teams who share the CSSC vision, it has proved to be a great year and we expect more of the same in the coming years.

All the hard work, going back to the start of training back in October 2007, has paid off. Our Rep teams have seen success in many forms, some have been rewarded with trophies, some have not - but all have improved and are better for it.

Thanks… to the coaches, parents, team officials and most importantly, the players for supporting and embracing our new programme. These fundamental changes would not have been possible without the commitment, diligence and hard work that our technical director Juan Cruz Real delivered nor without the support of the Executive of the CSSC.

It was an amazing year and we look forward for more of the same next season and beyond !!

Great Season 2008 CSSC !!!!!

Simply put.... Thanks!

Thanks to the entire Clarkson Sheridan Soccer Club community for their understanding, assimilation and support of all the changes we made in recent months, profound changes, from which we've already seen some amazing results.

Thanks to all parents who understand the club's direction and focus on a serious sports development programme for young atheletes.

Thanks to all the coaches of our rep teams, who overwhelmingly agreed that we needed to work together in one direction and with a systematic approach.  These coaches also gave of their own time to help in the success of this programme for the sake of the youth of our club - resulting in  improved performance and improved skills. By the end of the season, many individuals and teams had accomplished great achievements.

… And thanks, especially to all the rep players
in our club.  We know the sacrifices these players have made throughout the year - in many cases we noticed significant improvement in the performance of these individuals.

Thanks to the GU-12 A (Girls 1996A) who won their division and will be promoted to the Elite Division next year.

Thanks to the BU-14 (Boys 1994) League Cup 2008 Champions, and more importantly winning their division - meaning that they will be promoted to the Premier Division next season.

Thanks to the BU-13 (Boys 1995) who finished in the top 4 in their division and performed well enough to potentially move up next season to the Elite Division.

Thanks BU-16 B (Boys 1992B) for winning the League Cup 2008, and most importantly winning their division - thus being promoted to the highest level of competitive play next season, the Ontario Youth Soccer League (OYSL).  Our club is proud to have two teams in this age group, competing at this level.

Thanks BU-16 A OYSL (Boys 1992A) for their strength and fortitude as the team needed to be rebuilt due to circumstances outside the club's control.  Even after this difficult time, the team overcame its obstacles at the beginning of the season, represented the club with dignity, and finished the season as one of the 4 best teams in Ontario.

And thank you very much also, to all the other teams who didn't achieve some of these tough goals but we know that many of them have worked hard and have foundations for future success - this is all part of building better teams.

I can't forget to say thanks to the CSSC Leadership Team, who understood from the beginning and had the foresight to make permanent changes which would lead the club on right path. And thus the club will grow creating more prestige and respect in this sport.

A new season is fast approaching, with the satisfaction of this past season's work having been completed, achieving important goals we set for ourselves at the beginning of the season (perhaps more than expected by us in the first year), but the most important thing is the satisfaction of seeing the development and progress of the youth in our club. This is our main objective: "development".

As this season ends it is the beginning of a new process of work, as we have stated on other occasions, in the medium and long term …  and without doubt, we will go for more in the next season, that is our commitment ....

Sincerely, thank you very much.

Juan Cruz Real
Technical Director
