Clarkson Soccer Academy
As announced at its November 2006 Annual General Meeting, the Clarkson Sheridan Soccer Club launched the Clarkson Soccer Academy, a new, club-managed program designed to provide elite-level training to our elite-level athletes. Included in the Academy program will be conditioning, technical training, summer camps, and other development modalities and channels.
The Club will direct and administer the Academy, which has been created in response to a recognized need for the provision of this type of development structure to our most skilled athletes. Building on the success of the U7 to U9's programme, we launched the U4, U5, & U6 indoor skills development programme in the winter of 2008/09. This programme, for our youngest players, will continue in 2009/10.

Under the direction of the Technical Director, club coaches will execute the training and development sessions. A thorough and careful selection process has ensured that only our best and most committed coaches are in place to work with players who display the most potential.
The establishment of the Clarkson Soccer Academy will ensure that the CSSC maintains its leadership position within the community of Clubs across the country when it comes to providing opportunity for player development. In addition, constructing our program in this way will allow the Club, and ultimately each individual team, to realize cost efficiencies, as well as reaching a larger number of elite players.
We have started the new season with the Elite Conditioning and Technical Training programs, along with winter u4 through U9 development programmes. We will be offering Elite Soccer Camps and summer U7, U8 & U9 Development programs. Details of these programs will be posted on the Clarkson Sheridan Soccer Club website as they become available.
The Club’s investment in the Academy approach will pay off in the future as we see our young players given the solid foundation they need to succeed in this great game at it’s highest levels. You will recall that 2006 was the 35th anniversary of the Clarkson Sheridan Soccer Club to this Clarkson Soccer Academy will be a cornerstone of soccer in our community for the next 35 years, and beyond.
