OSA and PHSA Registration Rules

Registration Rules.

 

A1) Any player under suspension from all soccer activities may not register.

A2) A player who was last registered as a non-amateur or professional player, requires a reinstatement to amateur status
 (either permanent reinstatement or temporary reinstatement for indoor only) prior to registering as an amateur player.

A3) As it is the Club's responsibility to ensure that each of its players comply with A1 and A2, it shall be disciplined for non-compliance.

  1. The player named on this form is registered ONLY AFTER:
    1. The form has been fully and properly completed.
    2. The form has been signed by the player ( or her/his parent/ guardian)
    3. The form has been signed by the Club Registrar.
    4. The form has been validated by the Peel Halton Soccer Association.
    5. The registration data has been entered into ITRegistrar. by a Club or District official.
      If an on-line Player Registration form is used:
    6. The form has been properly and fully completed and
    7. The Registrant or her/his parent/guardian has selected the "agreement " button as part if the on-line registration procedure.
  2. The player becomes eligible to play on the next day after she/he has been registered in accordance with Rule 1 above AND her/his Player Registration Book has been validated by the
    Peel Halton Soccer Association. Notwithstanding this rule, an Outdoor Recreational League may waive the requirement for all of its players to have a Player Registration Book.
  3. A Player Registration Book (PRB) is required by:-
    1. All Indoor players (except for a player playing in a Club League, or an Intra-Club Tournament, in which all teams are from the same Club).
    2. All outdoor Players (except for league games in an Outdoor Recreational League AND ONLY WHEN the League has waived the requirement for its Players to have a Player Registration Book.
  4. The player is not eligible to play in any game (i.e. league game, tournament or exhibition games) and is not insured until there is full compliance with Rules 1 and 2 above and Rule 6 below.
  5. It is the responsibility of the Club to ensure that the player does not play before there has been full compliance with Rules 1 and 2 above and Rule 6 below.
  6. Registration on this form entitles the player to play for the Club/Team (indicated on the registration form) against another registered team in an exhibition game, league game, cup game, playoff game, or tournament game ONE DAY after the form has been processed by the OSA's computerized registration system and providing that the game is sanctioned by the proper governing organization(s) and providing that the Player has a Player Registration Book as per Rule 3 above.
  7. An outdoor youth player cannot exceed the stipulated age before January 1st of the current outdoor season.
  8. An indoor youth player cannot exceed the stipulated age before January 1st during the current indoor season.
  9. In an age- specific division (ie does not apply to "open age" senior registration), an outdoor senior player must exceed the stipulated age before January 1st of the current outdoor season.
  10. In an age-specific division (ie does not apply to "open age" senior registration), an indoor senior player must exceed the stipulated age before January 1st during the current indoor season.
  11. A player who has registered in another country is subject to the following FIFA regulations.
    1. If the player is Under 12 years of age he/she may just register to play in Ontario.
    2. A player 12 years of age or older requires an International Transfer Certificate in order to register to play in Ontario.
    3. Notwithstanding Rule 11b) above. A player under the age of 18 may only receive an International Transfer Certificate to register in Ontario if her/his family lives in Canada.
  12. If a registrant or her/his parent/guardian provides false information, or withholds any of the required information on the e-registration form, she/he shall be suspended from all soccer activities for one year.

Peel Halton Soccer Association (PHSA)
Rules and Requirements.

 

It is the responsibility of the Player to provide proof of birth acceptable to the District Registrar. To be presented when:

  1. A player applies to join a Club (to be checked by the Club Registrar).
  2. Requires a Registration Book.
  3. is new to the PHSA District, (to be checked by the Administrator or the District Registrar);
  4. At the request of the District Registrar or Administrator.
    After the date of birth has been verified the proof of birth document to be returned to the owner. Proof of birth document not to be attached to the Membership Book.
  5. The name of the player entered on the Player Registration Form to be identical to the names on the proof of birth. To avoid duplications in the system.
  6. Players previously registered in Ontario will have an OSA Membership Number. This should be entered on the form, also to prevent multiple registrations.
  7. PHSA rules permit a youth player to register to play for only one Team/Club.
  8. When issued, a Player Registration Book becomes the property of the player and, if held by a Team/Club official, must be returned on request. A player registering with a new Club is responsible to retrieve the Registration Book from the previous Club where registered and present it to the new Club together with the completed Registration Form.
  9. A player registered with a Club remains registered (unless previously released by the Club) until May 31st of he current year for the indoor season and December 31st of the current Outdoor season. After these dates, players are released by the OSA. Players are then free to join a new Club.
    Note:-The indoor and outdoor seasons are two separate seasons, and players must complete a Player Registration Form for each season.
  10. Players wanting to leave a club (to be released) or join another Club before the end of a season (return of the Player's Registration Book does not release the Player from the Club) are to give the Club notice in writing, attention the Club Registrar. If all is correct the Club Registrar will initiate the correct procedures for the Player to be released or join a new Club.
