As announced in September of this year, the Clarkson Sheridan Soccer Club launched an improved and synchronized development program in October for all our 2008 rep teams. This program will have a fundamental impact on our representative teams starting in 2008 and well into the future.
Our goal, as an institution, is to deliver a development program that will have an impact on everyone from our youngest players through to the youth in our club, for those who love this sport, take it seriously and who desire to enhance their level of performance. And when we say "seriously", we mean that there isn't any instant solutions. W e believe it takes commitment to be part of a development program that has a mid to long-term timeframe and one that will show very positive results. We will have an increase in performance, a better attitude towards sports in the children and young people of our Club - their confidence and positive attitude will be with them for the rest of their lives. This is why we believe in the implementation and execution of this plan, which would consists of annual training and competitions, using principles of training that any serious and coherent process cannot exclude. We don't believe in improvising, we believe in planning.
We decided in a unified manner to lay the groundwork for a thorough, detailed and controlled program where we know definitively where we want to go and are confident that over time we will obtain the results we seek. We've already implemented many changes, some difficult this is true. We know that we all have to adapt to these changes, but we are certain that we need these profound changes so that we can grow and become the club to which all other competitive clubs throughout the region will compare themselves. We must accept these changes together, as a team, and understand that the principal beneficiaries of these initiatives will be the children and young people that make up, and represent our Club.
