June 30, 2009 - Mississauga, Ontario. Today, the Clarkson Sheridan Soccer Club, of Mississauga, Ontario held a news conference to announce that they have forged a long-term affiliation agreement with the Croatian National Sports Club - Toronto Croatia Team of the Canadian Soccer League. Executives of both clubs, representatives from the different leagues, as well as the Mayor of Mississauga were on hand for the announcement that took place at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. Clarkson Airshed Studywas conducted by the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) over the last few years. Findings confirmed the airshed is over-taxed by cumulative toxic emissions from existing heavy industry in the Southdown Industrial District and the nearby highways including the 403 and QEW. In addition, because of the "lake effect" and lower topography, pollutants are not as easily dispersed in Mississauga South."
